Our focus of our sensory play area this week has been Mother’s Day. We have taken a busy fabric covered in flowers and added lots of plastic and music toys to it to in yellows, pinks and purples. It has been great fun and our little ones have been working on their visual discrimination skills and learning all about items in the foreground and the background. We have purposefully chosen toys that our little ones need to hold differently, some with palmer grips and others using a pincer one, it has all been about the fine finger control.
Dig out your themed toys, our favourites this week has been our star links from the early learning centre, for our younger babies they are great for helping them develop grip and finger control, for our older ones they can be popped together to create irregular shapes and structures!
